Oral Hygiene Consultation is a fundamental clinical procedure for maintaining clean teeth and healthy gums.

Even with daily brushing, bacterial plaque can accumulate and eventually calcify, forming dental calculus (known as tartar). This tartar can only be removed through professional intervention in the dental office.

How does our Oral Hygiene Consultation work? Our clinical team uses safe and minimally invasive technology, following a rigorous protocol structured in several phases:

• Ultrasonic Scaling (Tartar Removal): Use of high-precision ultrasound equipment to effectively fragment and remove all dental calculus (tartar) accumulated on the surface of the teeth and along the gum line.

• Bicarbonate Jet: Application of a prophylactic jet (water and bicarbonate powder) designed to polish the enamel. This step is essential for removing remaining plaque and unwanted surface stains (caused by coffee, tea, tobacco, etc.), restoring the natural luminosity of the teeth.

• Final Polishing: Finishing of the dental surface performed using a glycine-based powder jet and professional brushing with a special prophylactic paste. This step leaves the enamel extremely smooth, making it difficult for new bacteria to adhere in the future.

• Topical Fluoride Application (Optional): As a preventive reinforcement, the patient has the option of requesting a professional fluoride application.
